TEHRAN, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) — Iranian national soccer coach Dragan Skocic said that Iran has “great potential” and he has full faith in his players, Tehran Times daily reported on Wednesday.
“We are well aware of the fans’ expectation and will fight to make them happen,” Skocic was quoted as saying.
“First of all, we want to spread positive energy and fresh spirit to the players. Then, we will inform them about our expectations,” he added.
Iran’s soccer team left Tehran for Tashkent on Tuesday for a friendly match with Uzbekistan slated for Thursday.
The warm-up will be Skocic’s first match since taking charge of Iran’s team as part of preparations for the remaining matches of 2022 World Cup qualifiers. http://www.xinhuanet.com/english/2020-10/07/c_139424491.htm
